One Day Breif- UAP Branding

Today we got a one day brief that we had to complete and present in a day. We were all given a brand to research into and rebrand in what we seem may fit, possibly create a new logo ect. We also had to find the brands misson statement and find out the key aspects of the brand.

We got a brand called UAP and by the brand name you can't really tell what the brand is about, but it is a lock company, as a group we researched into the brand and found that within the brand there are sub brands, at first we found it very confusing.

Here is there original logo, we didn't really like it because it doesn't really show what the company is about, we also felt that blue was a really cold colour to choose.

There originally wasn't a mission statement for this company so we made one

Here is the new logo we designed, the joining of letters represents a lock subtlety and the idea of security, we chose a turquoise as it is blue the original colour but then with added green to represent the charities they support and how they try and reduce their carbon footprint and be more green in general.

We adapted the logo so it would work with all the sub brands

This is how the letter heads and website would look also a copy of the logo in black and white to show how it would look when photocopied, very clean and simple. We got some good feedback when we presented in the crit, they thought that the logo would work better if we took the symbols away and just had the type, I completely agree with this now, it would also work better on a smaller scale if we did this. Overall I am happy with the outcomes and I am impressed in how much work we can do in one day.
